In class we learnt about Synaesthesia. Synaesthesia is a condition where a sensation in one of the senses, such as hearing, triggers a sensation in another, such as taste.
For example, when listening to music, people are able to visualise shapes, colours and patterns. Artists such as Billy Joel, Pharrell Williams and Charli XCX have Chromesthesia which is a type of synesthesia in which heard sounds automatically and involuntarily evoke an experience of color.
To test if anyone in the class had this condition, we listened to George Micheal's 'A Different Corner' music video. People drew what they felt or wrote down ideas when listening to just the song. We then discussed our ideas with each other. After we played the music video to see if any of our ideas matched with George Michaels.
I had difficultly coming up with ideas but I came up with a man walking alone through the streets and clips from the past of what he's singing about.
